Tried to send you a message but messages aren't working so will post as comment & send in email too. I'm starting to think about my visit and try to get my itinerary together - I'm planning to come to you Jan 22nd and stay till about 27th. I'm then wondering about getting a Greyhound bus pass and seeing who I can visit off the ning site between you and San Francisco (as well as seeing a bit of the country). It would be quite an adventure!
Do those dates work for you? I'd love to do a workshop if you feel like organising it, but don't feel a pressure to. I know your life is very full.
Hi Amaya, Thanks for the request. Glad to have you as a friend. So how are things in Texas? Its getting warmer here and the snow is melting...makes me miss the beach. Hope you are having a great weekend. Namaste`, TJ
hello,
and thanks for your reply, maybe next time i get to texas we can get together, or you to europe, you never know - i am just looking for a lengthy retreat somewhere, and being with family is a totally different world than what i want, so, i have been invited to amidafrance once again, but since i spent months there in 2008, i am not sure what the point is, you know, dropping everything once again, and just living it with no idea where it leads
the best to you and thanks again

It's a pleasure to hear from you, Amaya. Yes, I'm familiar with Surya Das. My Dzogchen teacher is Namkhai Norbu, who I had the pleasure of finally meeeting in May 2008 in Conway, MA; and my Root Guru is Sogyal Rinpoche.
I've enjoyed your photographs.
I saw beautiful footage of a retired elephant, Tara, choosing a dog, Bella, to be her constant companion. When Bella suffered a spinal injury, Tara morned for her and stayed in a spot that allowed her to be closest to her for three months.
Finally the staff saw it fit to carry the dog out to let them spend time together. Bella finally recovered, and they pal around with great joy.
Not sure - maybe on my page you click something under my picture - I'm in the dark but other people I invited to be my friends seem to have been able to agree....all this is a steep learning curve!
Hi amaya,
It will be lovely to see some photos - I put up a few recently so you can see my children.
I have just put up a blog post and yes my life is very full at present. Many interesting aspects. One main venture is offering a space at festivals where we can offer informal chaplaincy and info about Buddhism and Amidahope your family are well
Much love
Great. Prasada and I have just come back from a little trip to visit my in-laws in Devon. Tomorrow I am off to London to teach a class down there. I see we now have more than 50 Ningers!
Dear Amaya - great to have you involved. This is an excellent place for making friends and involving in discussions both theoretical and formative. I'm sure you can get a lot out of it. They are a super community of people - and quite a lot has developed and changed since the old days. Much love -

We're getting ready here on the Big Island for the Brazier's visit in ten days or so. How was your visit with them?
After that, I look forward to getting more involved in this amidatrust.ning virtual adventure.
Where is Richmond? I lived in Austin from 1982-1987. My brother and mother live in Georgetown and my sister is in Katy.
Aloha & Namo Amida Bu,
