Friends of Amida-shu

The Friends of Amida-shu network is sponsored by Amida Trust.

Well it is now a year since some of us were busy trying to complete the 108,000 nembutsu chant last March. So I thought on March 31, I would chant for an hour.  I guess some sort of remembering back to that time last year. Anyone else chanting that day, nice to remember back.  What a busy year it has been.

and yes RIchard, chanting with world peace in mind feels like energy if already going somehow into a loving process.  Thoughts sure can count and it is good that our chanting spreads timewise through the day, as it spreads around our planet.  Namo Amida Bu

It was joyfull yesterday to chant, knowing that other Amida friends were also chanting and that this sounds into the world during the day, bringing peace, love, quietness...We'll never know but we only can offer it.

And yes, up to monday now = tomorrow! Thank you Sujatin to remember it! Namo amida Bu

Hi Rob and everyone - Just thought I'd let you know that Adrian and I and our small Amida Birmingham group have met today and we have been chanting along with you too ! Not sure if our times coincided exactly with yours - I guess not- but it's on the same date and it's the thought that counts! Like Katrien, I like to think that there might be a 'chanting for world peace' aspect to this. Love to all, Namo Amida Bu.

Well - that was a wonderful practice. I started chanting Om Ami Deva Rhe, and then about half way through chanted using the mokaju chant. Om Ami Deva Rhe evoked the recent retreat that Dharmavidya led here, and I felt like I was joined by those people too.

The mokaju chant bought back vivid memories of the 10 day chanting retreat... Somehow during this period my voice seemed to come from somewhere else. I was bought back to Earth by acid reflux... these bodies we are endowed with eh?.

A very nourishing hour, and what a joy to know others were joining too.
