Pureland Buddhism is a 'practice' school of Buddhism as opposed to a 'philosophical' school. This does not mean that it lacks philosophy, but the emphasis is upon practice. Well, I've just led my third Sunday Service here at the Buddhist House, we had a couple of people from outside TBH community, which was nice, and I think it was the first service I've led that Dharmvidaya has been around for, if I'd thought of this earlier, I'd have been more nervous, I'm sure.
