Profile Information

About Me:
I was born in Edinburgh in 1946 and raised, from the age of 3, in Newcastle upon Tyne. I have also lived in London, on a Victorian yacht off the Essex coast, other parts of the S.E. and N.W. of England. I'm a wife, mother of two and grandmother of four. I have two Maine Coon cats. For over twenty years I was a schoolteacher, mainly teaching Reception Class pupils but also Secondary pupils with Special Needs. I have also worked as a radiographer, a knitwear designer, a waitress, a cleaner, a shop assistant and a clerk and I have run a yacht chandlery.

I was retired from school teaching in 1996 on health grounds - I have M.E. However this allowed me the opportunity to train with Dharmavidya and to ordain as an Amida Minister, for which I am extremely grateful.

Reading, cinema, photography, music. I used to sail and climb and love to spend time in the Lake District or at the beach. I knit and sew - when there's time - and hope to learn to play my mandolin, ukulele and harmonium one day!

My Dear Sister Sujatin, Thank you for your welcome, I am currently in the Lay minister programe with the BrightDawn inst. I had a difficult year, buth it ended very well with an ordonation, so now we are sisters....
