This is a beautiful image as are the other photo's. This one in particular reminds me of those times when I seek some clarity and how no matter how dark and gloomy I feel the light of Amida is always there, calling out to him I can glimpse his unc...

Profile Information

About Me:
Single mother of two beautiful But sometimes troublesome children, who i would never be without, regardless. My son is 22 and my daughter 18.
Im 42, divorced, a mum who generally works full-time or/and study too until pretty recently. It exhausts me just thinking of all the roles I have taken on, sometimes unnecessairly) I feel regret that I have wasted some much time chasing after dead ends, even when; there was a 'Dead-End' Sign at the very start of that Path And sometimes it was even called a Cul-de-Sac.
The point I was taking a very long time to get to (sorry) is that, I now feel a need to experience Peace (in many ways) and explore this Adult persons whose roles have kept restrained for So Long.

Brief 'Me' History (so Far) -
I hated school, leaving at 15 and returning only for exams. I was married at 18 and had my son, a mortgage and full-time job (as a Milk Man) By 19.

I returned to college after my second child and discovered I have Dyslexia and was not as dumb as i had always believed myself to be. I now have an MSc. I became addicted to studying for many many years and have dipped into many areas of study e.g. Law, Housing Studies, Prisoners Rights, Welfare and Immigration Law, Social Policy, Social Work (Half completed only) Business, Land management and Surveying (3/4 completed!) and many other things But havent really found the right thing for me Or, just want to know so much more....??
I completed a Hypno/Psycho Therapy Course and levels 1-3 of the usual Person Centred College courses, but have not practiced these skills in any constructive way. It has aided 'getting to the bottom' of a client's needs, when at work. Ive only used Hypno relaxation and 'meditation?'/Hynotherapy techniques to aid self-exploration for friends/relatives to, either, share or retain. If the process fails to give any constructive answers however, it was intended to give a nice pleasureable experience.

II feel that I have just probabilly just bored everybody sufficantly but would much rather share more with you than less. Such as something like (42, female, 5:6, aspiring Buddhist!) :-)

Faith Background & Affiliation
Not raised in any particular faith and not Christened but did have a child's Bible in the house and have attended for usual occasions and some Mid-night mass. Enjoyed the singing but nothing I heard appeared 'real' or plausable to me. See more below in Spirituality section should you wish to hear more...
Occupation or Primary Activity
Homelessness, Housing and Welfare Advice. Currently unable to work so 'learning'.
Involvement in Spirituality/Religion
Im just at the start of my learning. I have previously only ever felt a pull towards Hinduism but this was mostly whilst traveling in India and was more a rummbling or slight awakening of an interest in Spirituality. However I have found in Pureland Buddhism a kind of 'Home' and a partly shared aspirational philosophy to life. The other part being the new ones i am only just learning about now and also seem to just 'fit' with me. I find I have been Trying to live by many, but sadly not all, Buddhist principles for a period of my life without knowing it. .
When i was a young child I told my father about ideas which he told me was reincarnation and teased me that I sounded like a Buddhist. I have had an interest ever since. I have gathered many books over the years which, I regret to say I placed along with the 'How to Learn Spainish' and 'Idiots-Guide-To' books which remained sadly awaiting 'one of these days... ' perhaps however, I am wrong to think of this with such regret as perhaps i was not ready to Hear. I am now trying to listen.
What is your interest in Amida Trust
The moment I visted TBH I had such an overwelming feeling of 'home' and just can't imagine there is anywhere better for me. My Life has been greatly improved since meeting the members and trainees and discovering the Trust. The more time i spend at TBH, the more I want to spend.
I have been reading several Brazier books on Therapy and also on Pureland and had the pleasure of attending half a day of a interesting workshop at THB.
I am considering returning to study with the trust in future if feasible.
