Thank you for your contributions and answering some of my questions. As the name of the monk who became Amida in the Larger Pureland Sutra I feel blessed to meet you.
Good to know...while I've read a little around Buddhism and other religions and philosophies, this is really my first sojourn into the actual rhelm of the thing. I can tell i'll have to take this all at a gradual pace, as each new idea or piece of information can unsettle and then reorganize my understanding of the Buddhist perspective in terms of how to effect change in the world, ourselves, etc.
I've just read the intro to your site...amazing the history that Buddhism developed within...the crows and the elephants and evil. How does Buddhism feel about the conquest over evil and violence at the moment? I think certainly in America it has helped to cultivate an understanding of non-violence, but I wonder if the violence doesn't change into a smaller type...or maybe this is just part of the evolution of it's extinction?
good location! how's work or buddhism going? do you feel contented about what you are doing and where? by the way...what are you doing? : ) Oh, I see above..I'll check it out!
