"A misty Monday here in the heart of Hoosierland and unusually warm for December. So sending warmest wishes for a productive retreat and good week to all everywhere. Knowing that we chant together means a needed connection.

"Beautiful autumn weather with colorful leaves here on the family farm in central Indiana. Chanting as I work outdoors today with all sangha friends in my thoughts and remembering those who have gone.

A member of Earthsanga.org, I'm also a vegan and rescue tree seedlings to offer for restoration work where I live. Also, I volunteer at the local food bank. My background is as a journalist and writer. Presently working on a memoir and environmental mystery.
Faith Background & Affiliation
member of Earthsangha.org
Occupation or Primary Activity
Volunteering to help others; learning how to improve environment and setting an example as a practicing Buddhist; researching to write about effects of pesticides/herbacides and natural alternatives.
Involvement in Spirituality/Religion
Have relocated from the Washington, D.C. area to small town in Missouri a few months ago, so are not able to practice & meditate with Earth Sangha. Try to practice Buddhist precepts where I am.
What is your interest in Amida Trust
Since there is no sangha in the small town where I live, beginning a sangha with the help of Amida Trust is an option. At the moment though I know of no others who might be interested to join me. So information from Amida Trust will help in my practice until others express an interest.
