Hi
Here are my first thoughts:
Free public transport for every one with massive public investment to ensure that public transport is of a very high comfortable and efficient standard and that it takes people where they want to go when they want to…
I am interested in Buddhism, Bodhicchitta, Spirituality of various sorts and interfaith dialogue. I am a liberal Catholic and I am a Quaker. I am also interested in psychotherapy and I am doing a Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Skills from a Transactional Analysis Perspective.

Hi stuart.
I am totally new to this site, and am interested in your thoughts on spirituality and counselling. I work with substance misusers and would be very interested in your thoughts on how spirituality may be applicable in this area. chat soon. majid
Many thanks that does give me some more ideas. So far I have tried Nottingham Counselling Service and I got the same feedback from them about their lengthy waiting list! I have also tried Nottingham Counsellor Placement Service which is connected to a Women's centre in Nottingham and is a women's only service, so not much use to you! GP surgery is a good idea. I might see if I can explore that further. Thanks again, and good luck with finding a placement yourself, Tara
Susthama from this network can also give you more info about the course and doing a module rather than the full course (which i think is an option)
I also got interested in the course after reading Zen Therapy. Have you come across Caroline Brazier's Buddhist Psychology? This is also a core text for the course.
On a separate note, I am trying to find a counselling placement in nottingham. I wondered if you knew of anywhere through your experience/contacts?
I looked into the Midshires initially but decided to go with the Berne in the end. It would be interesting to hear of your experience of Midshires, as I was really interested in their spiritual dimension - especially as I think this was coming from a number of different perspectives.
As for the Buddhist Psychology course at Amida, well, I have never experienced anything like it! I am finding it truly life changing and I can't wait for the next course block :-) If you are interested in the course, I think you can attend for a course block without committing to the entire course, so you can find out if its right for you. As you can probably tell, I would heartily recommend the course!
Hi Stuart, I also live in Nottingham and last year completed TA 101 at the Berne Institute. Is that where you are studying TA? I am now studying for the Foundation Certificate in Buddhist Psychology at Amida; it is great to be learning counselling skills within a spritiual framework. Best Wishes, Tara.
Hi Stuart, Just back form a long trip abroad. Roman Catholic myself interested in spirituality from a Carmelite perspective and how spritiual disciplines leading to a union with Christ can help us conduct ourselves in the world, partiicularly the world of business so as to act according Gods will rather than risk actions under our own will. Married to a Buddhist and studied Hinduism by the way. Regards, Peter
