"Just wonderful to see how Seishi House is progressing - thank you Jnanamati for this fascinating blog. It's also very interesting to see just how well this project is unfolding seemingly in a very serendipitous way. The right people and…"

Our biggest Amida-shu yearly retreat and gathering to celebrate Bodhi Day. A mixture of practice, Dharma talks and a chance to spend time with fellow travellers on the path in Malvern's rather lovely Amida Mandala temple. Join us!Dharmavidya's description of the event:The Essential Meaning of Nembutsu: Nothing to HideI take refuge in the unimpeded light. The “I” that seeks refuge and the light that illuminates mutually interpenetrate. There is no part of oneself that is not illuminated,…See More

The first night I very quickly fell (if that's the right word) into a state of anguish which was handled with…"

Hi Tony - really wonderful to see you at the retreat at the weekend. The serious discussions were inspired, and the many 'laughs' we had even more so! I was concerned to learn of your on-going health issues.Be well and happy.Kindest regards,Richard.
Hi Tony - Yes I feel very thankful that the light is beginning to shine again. It's been a difficult time for me these past few years, with intense relationship difficulties, and at times a rather disabling health problem but slowly, sometimes almost imperceptibly over the weeks and months, positive change has been occuring - al-hamdililah (as the Muslims say) or Namo Amida Bu as we say. And what about you Tony, how are you?
I think we will be able to join you. I have bought some gardening gloves from the pound shop, an optimistic gesture I feel. John is still in Spain but back soon. He will have marking. I spent 5 days on my course at TBH, it is not for the faint-hearted is it? This means I am thinking of packing it in.The people are as wonderful as ever.
Namo Amida Bu
Hi Tony - Just wanted to say that I really enjoyed your presence on the course block last week. I also loved the singing night which you contributed to with some sensitively timed maraca playing! So thanks too for that.
Hope you are feeling much better,
Namo Amida Bu,
I hope this reaches you hale and enjoying your garden! As I write I gaze out of the window at ours - Ruth's little spring border is jumping with colour already. (She's the real gardener in this house, I tend to do the donkey work, fetching and carrying.) Nonetheless, I'm proud of how our little garden (60' X 20' (ish)) looks and sadly get more than a frisson of superiority gazing at my neighbours from this upstairs view!
I may make it to Modgala's relaxation/meditation group on Thursday depending on how wacked I feel after work. The trouble is it's a bit too effective and it's hard to drag myself off home afterwards! I'm really enjoying the returning warm weather and the accompanying birdlife etc.
