About Me:
I have recently read the book written by David Brazier "Who Loves, Dies Well" and found it thought provoking and comforting around the idea of death and the introduction to Pureland Buddhism
Faith Background & Affiliation
Initially catholic as a child but describe myself as a humanist with a leaning towards ubuddhist teachings which resonate with my own beliefs.
Occupation or Primary Activity
Alcohol Worker, and Gestalt therapist
Involvement in Spirituality/Religion
I am surrounded by spiritual people from all walks of life and have found much similarity between us whatever faith we profess to be part of.
What is your interest in Amida-shu
I would like to become part of a community of people on similar paths to myself and would benefit from more learning about Amida Buddhism. I have started calling upon the name of Amida daily "Namo Amida Bu"

through a search engine as I became interested in Amida after reading a book by David Brazier.

I am a prolific reader, love art and crafts (knitting, crocheting etc).

I run a women's group at weekend and also love walking and being in the countryside. Nature is my greatest comfort at present.

Kaspa and Satya and their sangha would be delighted to see you in Malvern - have you looked at their website? It really is a gorgeous place. Also Kuvalaya will have some sangha meetings just outside Durham - she's on maternity leave just now. And I'll be starting meetings in Perth - though that's probably a bit far.

Just have a look at 'Groups' in the top bar and join any that you fancy. I'll invite you to the Monday Nembutsu one so that you can chant Namo Amida Bu at some time on a Monday and feel connected to all who are doing so - and you can add a few words of comment, but only if you'd like to!
