I am taken with the buzzing red glow and the luminosity of the gold rectangle. I also like the title, it augments what the painting itself visually suggests or alludes to, though interestingly i read 'sincere' as 'serene' at first. The image also ha…
I consider myself as a Buddhist or Amidist in the making. The themes in the discussions, particularly about the sublime and the three different meanings Buddhism in art make me think and inspired me to take on an old plan. Recently my life took a tu…
The Bodhi Retreat is held in commemoration of the Enlightenment of Shakyamuni and the founding of the Buddhist tradition. Always the most important and exuberant event in the Amida annual calendar, the Bodhi Retreat has grown in significance as th…
Yes!!! Makes me happeeeeee! CULTURAL ENGAGED BUDDHISM.
Of course it is not very much Amida-style to write this in capitals, but it is just my outcry of joy to find suddenly a door opened. It could be Amida-style, I suppose, to find the undertaking a…
Hello. Over a year ago I still lived like the foregoing 5 years in the Amida community. Became a member of the Order of Amida Buddha and there I found my spiritual friends. Before that I was a management- and policy consultant, coach, counselor and trainer. I live in a housing-community. Painting, giving lectures and beginning a practice as coach/consultant again from a Buddhist inspiration and vision. My background is in Philosophy and Organization Development. My works gave me a more or less nomadic life: always on the move.

Involvement in Spirituality/Religion
From very early on I have been involved with Spirituality/Religion. It took almost a live to arrive in a Spiritual home. Or rather an 'Auberge,' half way the mountain, like Dharmavidya once called a Amida community. That means a place where (spiritual) seekers and travelers can find themselves at ease for a while. The encounter with Amida, as Sangha and as Dharma, touched me so deeply, that my life took a definitive turn: At last I am on my way Home!
What is your interest in Amida Trust
Lay member of the Order of Amida Buddha. I want in way to reconnect, and perhaps make new friends. And I would like and am nourished with wisdom and friendship. So Amida succeeded to awaken me time by time to the wonders of Ordinary Life and to my blunderings 'as they are.' I just need the inspiration to give me courage for walking with through the bureaucratic vicissitudes of a modest professional life.
How did you find this web site?
Works smoothly. It realy gives me the opportunity to reconnect.

Hello Leo, I met you at least 3 or 4 years ago at TBH and I am glad to hear you have found your way home. I think I am still seeking but feel closer to finding.
Hi Leo,
Yes in English is ok. It is nice to hear that you are so positive with the Benelux sangha idea. We can start sharing some ideas. Feb 7th I will be at the Belgium Sangha weekend retreat and start with the discussion overthere.
Gerald
Hoi Leo,
Volgens mij hebben we elkaar net gemist afgelopen zomer bij Amida France.
Hoop je nog eens te onmoeten. Kom je ook wel eens bij de Belgische Sangha?
I enjoyed seeing the photos from D and P's visit to you....good to see what a lovely situation you are living in and to hear bits of news of what you are doing over the North Sea.
