THE REAL MEANING OF MINDFULNESS at Sukhavati (Amida London)

March 3, 2012 from 9:30am to 4:30pm
Mindfulness has become a popular concept that is increasingly widely used. However the essence of Buddhism is not a technique, but rather an attitude to life, an attitude that encompasses more than the present moment, more than oneself and more than what presents itself to consciousness. Mindfulness is a deeper and broader matter than we are often led to think. The mind that Buddha has in mind is something very big indeed. Suggested donation £15See More

Hello Kate
Thank you for your message and congratulations for the arrival of your grand-daughter. In terms of your request for help I think the best way to 'get to grips' with it is to try some things out and if you have difficulties then to let me know. I am fairly accessible and can often reply quite quickly, though actually I am no expert myself! In relation to photographs all you have to do is to go into your page by clicking 'my page' at the top of the main page (in blue and above the blue line just below the title). If you direct the cursor over the pre-set silhouette then in will ask - change photo?, click on this and follow the steps from there. This will of course depend on you have a photo of yourself stored somewhere on your computer. The best way of doing this is to use the simple uploader tool which comes up when you go to that page. Hope this helps? Most other things on the site are straightforward, so if you go into a group and want to join the discussion if you look to top right it will ask you if you want to join. You just need to click to do so.
Lovely to hear from you. Please don't hesitate with any further questions you have

Hello Kate
Glad to be connected. If you need assistance with navigating the technology please let me know and I will do as much as I can from this 'remote' position to help. You will notice that most members upload a photograph - it is a closed network and it is helpful in creating a sense of community/sangha to be able to see something of each person. It would also be interesting to hear from you about your contact/involvement in Buddhism either via creating a blog or by joining some of the groups.
Stay in touch.
Kind warm wishes

enlightened or bombu?

The prison of the question of "liking or not liking"
