Hello Jason,

I love the photos of your children! I enjoy reading and writing poetry too - and experiencing anything "with soul."

It's a pleasure to meet you!

:) that's a good one. . . . this bombu likes to go around the cold hells, to the hungry ghost realms, to the asuras, and animal realms - round and round I go but with Amida to keep me warm, fed, sane, and tempered.

Hi Jason,

Thanks, am glad that the sound is working now. It must be awfully cold where you are now. Have you got lots of snow?

Schempe bra - jeg bodde i Oslo men det er lengen siden og jeg ha glemt alt.

Don't know if that makes any sense at all - it seems so foreign to me now. I lived there from 97 - beginning of 99 and didn't really learn very much since most of my friends spoke English.

Hallo,

Hvordan gor det? I used to live in Norway and so know one or two phrases but that's about the extent of my Norwegian now.

Anyways, hope to meet you one day - it sounds like you had a good meeting in Dharmavidya and Prasada in Germany.

enlightened or bombu?

Started by Thomas Myojo Radcliffe in Buddhist Teaching. Last reply by Robert McCarthy May 7. 9 Replies

Zen is clear that we are essentially enlightened beings. Pureland insists that we are hopelessly deluded. Both seem to me to be true. On the one hand the mind with all it's contradictions,…Continue

Other-power or Zazen?

Started by Dr Di in Amida Trust & Amida-shu Development. Last reply by Thomas Myojo Radcliffe May 5. 19 Replies

I see Amida Trust bringing the 2 together, or are they mutually exclusive? ie the here and now focus on breath of Zazen implies continuity and oneness, whereas the 'other- power' of Amida can be seen…Continue

The prison of the question of "liking or not liking"

Started by Katrien Sercu in Amida Trust & Amida-shu Development. Last reply by Robert McCarthy Apr 30. 9 Replies

It is surprising how a question, which was a step forwards earlier in life becomes an ennoying limitation that, in good moments, can evoke a smile in me as it is really a funny and stupid question.…Continue
