Life goes on ...nurturing?

Namo Amida Bu

I'd hoped to contribute more to the sangha...but I've been living busy everyday life and doing my best to nurture!

Nurture....my new garden - mature, took a lot of cutting back and looking forward to the blossoming of 70+ sunflowers.

Nurture....my 16 and 14 year old children.  Brilliant and beautiful but not without their challenges.

Nurture....the 16/17/18 year olds I work with as a Career Adviser, some of whom face massive obstacles to moving on in…

Namo Amida Bu

Gratitude beyond words to Dharmavidya, Sujatin and my fellow participants at this weekend's retreat!

This was an intense learning, yet simple, simply human and easy-going, experience.

Throughout Dharmavidya's talks - which were far more wide-ranging, detailed, and honest/spontaneous (wise!) than I anticipated - my mental voice was "Yes...Yes...Yes...!".  At one point this morning I felt tears of happiness well-up at the Yes-ness (but ego stormed in - "don't…

I'm glad - it just feels natural to some people, maybe you're one of those! There's a good introductory course that Sujatin runs if you're interested sometime. Namo Amida Bu!

Hi Ian - welcome to our little online community. Do enjoy looking around - glad you found Sujatin!

Glad you've joined, Ian!

Have a good look round this ning site, starting with the link in the 'Welcome' box, top left. Then join in any discussions and special interest groups that take your fancy. There are any number to choose from. (Groups in top bar) As you know, I've put you on the list for our 'Whispers from the Bamboo Grove' occasional newsletters, which come by email. You can see some of the back newsletters here. Also you might like to look at our magazine Running Tide .

I hope that you'll enjoy making new friends here. Do you have a photo you can add to your profile? Much easier to get to know someone with a face, rather than the 'blue ghost'!

How about finding out about Monday Nembutsu practice? (Wherever you are and whenever suits, just sometime on Mondays).

Also you might like to check out the courses at Amida Academy and to look at the events running at the Eleusis centre in central France, where Dharmavidya is based (when he's not teaching around the globe) - more about it here on the website.

Looking forward to actually meeting you in person, once I'm established in the Fair City!
