Directional compass poem.

North, East, South, West,
Wonder which bit is best,
Never Eat Shredded Wheat,
Marching to the compass beat.

North, South, East, West,
Which path is easiest,
Naughty elephants squirt water,
Keep your dog on a halter.

North, East, south, west,
Compass points the line of test,
Never Eat Shredded Wheat,
sitting in the midday heat.

Ive done something silly,

Ive done something worrying,

will it make me happy,

I cannot tell.

Ive made a blip,

And done a flip,

will it make it well,

I cannot tell.

Ive done something mad

Ive done something bad

is it worth the wait,

I cannot tell.

What have I done,

What can be won,

Is it going to work,

I cannot tell.

What will happen,

will it work,

whats the answer,

I cannot… Continue

I see the clouds, I feel the sun,

I hear the sea and see the moon,

I feel the wind and hear it too,

Warm, cold, wet, and wild.

I hear the ocean and smell its salt,

I feel the rain and see it on the road,

I smell the wind bringing rain to a halt,

As all around me is alive.

I see the animals in the air,

I feel the air but cannot see it,

I hear the bleeting of a lamb,

But cannot smell it as it is.

I hear the lark singing… Continue

climb, climb up we go,

Step by step, nook by nook.

Slipping and stumbling still we go,

higher and higher,

Towards the clouds, in the clouds,

every breath and every step, moving foward and up

take a peek over the edge,

hang on tight, to the ledge.

Above the clouds the sun is shining,

take a rest, see the veiw

watch the world go on through.

Eagles soar, hunting food

down they dive fast and free

below the clouds the floor you cant… Continue

Our weather - A peice of verse

Wind roaring across the earth,
Howling at your doors,
Rain slashing, beating down,
Icy, cold and frosty snow
Where is the sun that brightens the darkest day?
where is the bright blue sky?
Only for a moment of time
does the black clouds hold it at bay
while the wind roars on by.

Next time you're coming up Mach way, let me know and maybe we could meet up for a cuppa and chew the Dharma fat! All the best - Hussam

enlightened or bombu?

Started by Thomas Myojo Radcliffe in Buddhist Teaching. Last reply by Robert McCarthy May 7. 9 Replies

Other-power or Zazen?

Started by Dr Di in Amida Trust & Amida-shu Development. Last reply by Thomas Myojo Radcliffe May 5. 19 Replies

The prison of the question of "liking or not liking"

Started by Katrien Sercu in Amida Trust & Amida-shu Development. Last reply by Robert McCarthy Apr 30. 9 Replies

It is surprising how a question, which was a step forwards earlier in life becomes an ennoying limitation that, in good moments, can evoke a smile in me as it is really a funny and stupid question.…Continue
