Hi Dawn, thank you for sharing this interesting article. I too am a Reiki practitioner but tend to work more with animals than people and I have certainly seen how the power of touch can help in times of need.
This group is for "Buddhists of all religions" - Buddhists and Buddhist sympathisers regardlesss of tradition or beliefs - who share a quest for a peaceful world.
I am live in Abertillery Gwent and am involved in animal welfare and rescue.
I am vegetarian and have great compassion for animals. I have an interest in holistic medicine, reading, occasional writing, the outdoors, teaching and a variety of things too numerous to mention.

Hi Demelda. Noticed your amazing profile picture. I love animals too and I've been a veggie for about 25 years. I work in the countryside as a gardener which can be difficult at times as everyone I meet is into field sports etc. My wife and I are involved in a greyhound rescue charity. We've adopted a greyhound and he's called "Mr. Skips!" I'm fairly new to Buddhism but I'm really appreciating everything I'm learning. I attend meditation classes and lectures. The Buddhism I'm following is the Tibetan Lam Rim. Paganism has been of interest to me in the past too. Cheers, Roger.
Hi Demelda
I know North Wales fairly well. I cycled from Dollegau to Barmouth over the Bank Holiday in that pouring rain.
Good luck with the move to South Wales.
Your profile picture is so meaningful to me.. A guided jouney surrounded by emptiness to arrive at a milestone and seeing light beyond.. Beyond words..Thanks for sharing..
