Bill Ward is now a member of Friends of Amida Order
My name is Bill. I was born in 1960 and raised in south Texas. I have lived in northern Utah for the last eighteen years. My wife and I are empty nesters and grandparents. Our home sits at 5008' on the western slope of the Wasatch Mountains (a sub range of the Rockies) overlooking the Great Salt Lake.
We became Buddhists in 2001 after hearing the Dalai Lama speak at the University of Utah. Through our studies we discovered the works of Reverends Taitetsu Unno and Alfred Bloom and eventually joined a local Sangha.
I respect all Buddhist traditions and freely admit that I am not an authority on any of them, including my own.
