Refugees

I have had a little time to write some more of my book about my own journey. However the horrible scenes of the refugees trying to find a refuge after their experiences in war torn Syria awoke memories of my journey to Sarajevo in 2003 and seeing the aftermath of war.Please wherever possible do say prayers and if possible help the suffering people who make it to our shores as I see Kaspa and Satya have been doing in Amida Mandala.I would like to share a small excerpt from my writings:"As I…See More

Born in London, Adult children Cameron and Terri Grandchildren Nelson and Max. Ordained as a nun/amitarya in Amida Trust 1998. 1998/9 assisted in Tithandizane project Zambia founded by Amrita. Then Spent 2 years+ in Amida France. Founded Amida India project 2004 with first volunteer Sahishnu. hosted Amida London 6 years. Currntly deputy to dharmavidya in Amida Order and Interfaith and Outreach Officer with Amida Trust.

After 20 years as an arrogant atheist found Buddhism 25 years ago and the nascent Amida Trust and Dharmavidya 20 years ago. When my marriage broke up in 1998 decided to give my whole life to doing the work of the Buddha via Amida Trust
What is your interest in Amida-shu
I have given my life to doing whatever is needed in Amida Trust. Originally it was a rare engaged Buddhist organisation. Not so able to travel or go on demonstrations I now represent Amida in organisational realms both Buddhist and Interfaith and in particular chaplaincy.

It's really lovely here - looking out at the lights of the city - working hard, but still have about 75% of my boxes to unpack.
