I love to travel! Next week I am going to Roatan (Honduras) for a short holiday - where I live in Winnipeg we have had a very long cold winter, I am eagerly anticipating warmth and sunshine, colours and seawater.
I am also planning a trip to India in the late fall, so I see that some contacts on this page would be quite helpful (my first trip there).
If anyone needs a place to stay in Winnipeg they are most welcome.

Aloha --- Although I left Hawaii about 9 months ago I still call it home. But, I am now in Dhaka, Bangladesh teaching and thought I would just give an update on some travel I will be doing in June/July...I am going overland (bus/train) to Delhi and Dharamsala (home of Dali Lama) and hope to visit the Amida center in Delhi when I pass thru on the 15th and 16th June?? I will attend a 10 day meditation retreat at the Tushita Center in McCloud Ganj in Dharamsala and hope the Dali Lama will be speaking. from there it will be to Bangkok and Ko Phagan/KoSamui for a little rest and sun and swimming. I miss the beaches in Hawaii. Then back to Bangladesh for about 10 more days before school starts to explore and work on service projects I am working on here. I hope to do another meditation in Oct/Dec or April Next year in Nepal at Kopan monastary if anyone is interested.

The Big Island of Hawaii where I live is probably one of the most beautiful places in the world! I live in North Kohala which on the very northern tip of the island and gets the wind straight off the ocean coming from the north. "Kohala" is roughly translated to "The wind that slaps you in the face". Even though we are a part of the US, sometimes I feel like I am living in a third world country but paying NYC or London prices for it!

Anyway, we have a guest room here and if you don't mind waking up to about 20 roosters crowing outside the window every morning, come on by!

if any of you are ever in South Africa, there'll be a warm bed and voices softly singing the Buddha's name waiting for you.
