I live in Phoenix and hope that some day we wil be able to organize a retreat in the US. I ike the compassionate and very human approach in Amida.

Greetings to all
I am in Virginia Beach, VA and agree that it would be a wonderful event for AMIDA USA to move forward with groups in many areas. I am fortunate in that I have some time to devote to helping in my area and am willing to offer my service to that goal.. I offer my support to others here and am confident that our willingness will generate the wishes of all of us in practical ways...
So, The next step would be to plan a local event of some type... I am ope n to suggestions, guidance and supportive thoughts in that measure.

A pleasure to be a part of this group.
I live in Edgewood, New Mexico. Not much in the way for getting together with Buddhists here. Nearest places are in Albuquerque, in temporary facilities, at times quite inconvenient for me to attend (late PM & I have 2 small children to find a place for, as the meetings do not provide for their attendance...)
I like the you tube idea for sharing talks & such. Remote viewing on the internet, if you will. ;-)

I appreciate you forming this site and this group as well, Kaspalita! I'm definitely interested in forming more Pure Land Buddhist community in the US and getting people from the UK out here to give talks. I like the youtube idea as well. I look forward to being part of making things happen!

Hello! Kaspalita, thanks so much for creating this group! I have two items that I love to get feedback (and maybe some discussion) on:
1) Have any of you had a chance to see the Brazier's during their visit to the U.S.? Were any of the talks transcribed or taped?
2) What do you think of youtube as a source of communication and education? I noticed that the Northampton sangha has some talks by Dr. T. Unno up, and it might be good to use youtube (and other media) to bring us closer as a cybersanha.
