Friends of Amida - Spiritual Networking -
On-Going Developments of Amida USA....
Aloha Amida USA group members-
Just wanted to give a brief update on happenings in the Amida USA. The Board of Directors has recently conducted its semi-annual Board meeting by Skype with Board members from Hawai'i, Ohio, Texas, and the UK all participating by Skype!
In addition,a working group of Board members have been meeting regularly to follow-up on tasks generated from the last two Board meetings. Of particular importance is the progression we have made for establishing Amida USA as a 501(c)(3) non-profit church based in Hawai'i. We have completed the application to the Feds and are awaiting the granting of our status as a church. This will hopefully be completed by year's end.
We are also busily planning for the Brazier's North American Teaching Tour coming-up early in 2010. Dharmavidya and Prasada already have scheduled a 10 day Hawai'i stop in early February, followed by a stop in Berkely, California to participate in the ICOCA. This event is highlighted on the front page of this Friends of Amida ning site. Please consider attending this event, and certainly let others know that might be interested in such an experience. In addition, if you have been interested in having the Brazier's come to your locale as part of their teaching tour, please start to make arrangements for this as soon as possible so we can coordinate a coherent tour itinerary.
