I have always felt a connection to the world of trees, flowers, animals, birds, insects, spiders, centipedes and earthworms... What I would like to know is whether there are other people similarly inclined. What about an occasional visit, either to Gillespie Park Nature Reserve in Islington, where I work or further afield, Hampstead Heath for a saunter, or picnic, maybe in the summer. Anyone fancy a dawn chorus session at the Islington Ecology Centre? It's worth making an early start though (4.00 ish), followed by tea n toast; or we could be there to watch the sunset and listen to the dusk chorale in counterpoint to the pulse of traffic in and around Highbury! Or do people have ideas of their own also linked to nature and our senses coming alive in response to it? Or I'd be delighted to lead a guided walk around Gillespie Park introducing the inhabitants. Nembutsu neath the trees! Or if there are too many people about, in the Ecology Centre itself. Any takers?
