I just read a comment by a U.S. Amida friend who talked about finding an "island of sanity," I believe talking about the hour or so per week that he meets with another minister, who is also a therapist.
It got me thinking: where is my "island of sanity?" Or, put another way, "where can I go for refuge?"
Here's my list:
1. going to the Longmont Temple for services.
2. Hanging out with my husband and our two Dachshunds, doing anything or nothing at all.
3. going to my bi-weekly harp lesson
Wow Lisa, the first thing that comes into my mind is your level of burn out, or compassion fatigue...the activities you list have me think of decompression...what jogs loose when you bring these views to mind?
