I am new in this practice. Please share w/ me what one can do for bliss in this birth & tell me where you obtained that data (sutra). I did read that Shakyamuni is incarnate of Amida. Is that so?
My primary concern is peace in this life. Is it so that I am stuck w/ all my bad karma? If I need healing of my body & mind, do I need to go to the Medicine Buddha instead?

Thank you for your prompt answer. What a beautiful msg you gave me about Amitabha.
Another thing concerns me. Accord. to the link below, our salvation is questionable per Shakyamuni & suggests Medicine Buddha & his pure land in the east in case we don't make Amitabha's. I would be in your debt if you would explain this to me. Please go to the link & at the page number field type in '29'.

dear Gregory, I am also fairly new to Amida Buddhism. The pureland sutra does tell us in faith we will be shown the pureland- but I am sure our salvation must remain questionable, in faith we find strength to doubt and still live the path.
