Our small but lovely Birmingham group met at Adrian's house on Saturday afternoon. As always with this group, to meet like this reminded us all what a wonderful thing it is to be able to practise with other people, how it reinforces us in our faith and helps us realise we are not alone. Yesterday we were especially privileged to be able to welcome Sumaya, who talked to us and led us in our sitting and chanting. Thank you, Sumaya, for coming to us - your quiet, settled presence was reassuring and inspirational. The discussion topic was 'Buddhism:philosophy or religion ?', so,as you can imagine, that didn't take long to sort out ! Everyone brought cakes or biscuits, so we didn't go hungry - Adrian's delicious home-baked blueberry muffins were particularly worthy of note! Thank you, and love, to all. Namo Amida Bu.

It was inspirational, practice together, share our life experience, and reflect upon the interesting "koan" question. Hope to see you soon either in Birmingham or London. Namo Amida Bu Love Sumaya
