Zen is an intuition of wholeness. This means that each presentation can be taken to imply not only meaning in terms of the particular but also as one part of a holistic vision of which it is a reflective element. In therapy, this means that each thing that the client brings includes an implication of its possible negation. In this negation is to be found a gateway into an infinite expansion of mind. Contemplative traditions generally ground themselves in silence and in the creation of a safe or sacred space. The essence of therapy is revealed by what happens in that space, each element of life unfolding being experienced as infinitely precious, as a light that illumines the bigger picture. This day will include contemplative exercises for personal and group exploration of inner space.
