Event Description

We have openings for one or two full time Buddhist trainees and/or full time volunteers.
VOLUNTEER SCHEME: Two months training in UK followed by five months service in Amida education programme in India.
TRAINEE SCHEME: Full time training in Pureland Buddhism as part of the Amida community, possibly with a view to ordination if suitable.

COST: Generally participants in the volunteer scheme make a contribution of £800 toward their fares and costs. Trainees pay no fees but pay for accommodation for the first few months until/unless accepted as members of the permanent community.

I am interested in the volunteer scheme. What does the training consist of?
Where is the training?
Besides the contribution, how much extra money/cost would be necessary?

I would love to volunteer, for something like this,... great work! I'd have to perform a bit of a disapearing act on my familly here though.....

i would love too take the time out to volunteer, but things have got me too tied down here in Leicester to be gone for so long..is this something you offer every year?
