This, the most important event in the Amida year. Each day there will be Pureland Buddhist practice plus special events as follows:
Sunday 4th December
- Refuge Ceremonies for people becoming or confirming their Buddhist commitment
- Admission Ceremonies for those entering or confirming membership of the Amida-shu.
- Aspirance/Postulancy Ceremonies for those intending to enter training toward ordination.
Evening session of Other Power Life Dance
Monday 5th December
Day of Silent Contemplation (Quan) plus Dharma Talk from the head of the Order
Tuesday 6th December
Day of practice with Dharma Talks from members of the Order
Wednesday 7th December
Meetings for Practice, Devotion, Sharing and Instruction
Thursday 8th December - Bodhi Day
Ceremonies for Ordination
The retreat is a wonderful occasion for entering into the heart of the sangha, its community and its practice.
